Experience the Horror: 'Evil Dead Rise' Trailer and Poster Unveiled

The wait is almost over, horror enthusiasts - the first full-length trailer for "Evil Dead Rise" will be arriving later today. This marks the fifth film in the "Evil Dead" franchise, following Sam Raimi's original trilogy and Fede Alvarez's remake. While it's not yet clear how this installment will link to the previous ones, we can be sure it will be filled with all the scares and gore we've come to expect from the series. However, to tide us over for now the new poster was thankfully unveiled, and you can check it out across the page.

In "Evil Dead Rise," we follow Beth, a road-weary traveler who pays a visit to her older sister Ellie in a cramped Los Angeles apartment. However, their reunion is cut short when they discover a mysterious book in the building, unleashing flesh-possessing demons and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she faces the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable. The film also stars Nell Fisher, Alyssa Sutherland, Lily Sullivan, Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, Mia Challis, Jayden Daniels, Tai Wano, and Billy Reynolds-McCarthy. Unfortunately, Bruce Campbell will not be reprising his role as Ash Williams.

This R-rated feature was originally intended to be an HBO Max original film, but was pulled in August of last year and reshaped for a theatrical release. It was written and directed by Lee Cronin, who has described it as like "strapping you onto a rocket that's fueled by blood." "Evil Dead Rise" is set to hit theaters on April 21, 2023.

If you're looking to revisit the classic "Evil Dead" movies in the meantime, you can check them out right here at Horror Stock. It's the perfect way to help you get ready to face your fears when "Evil Dead Rise" hits theaters later this year. Don't miss the trailer for "Evil Dead Rise" dropping later today.
